FYNE's new factory in Glasgow

Fyne Audio, the renowned Scottish loudspeaker manufacturer, is delighted to announce the opening of its new factory in Glasgow. The move marks a significant extension of the brand's commitment to exceptional British craftsmanship, doubling UK manufacturing capacity and bringing an unrivalled attention to detail in both acoustic performance and aesthetic finish that Fyne Audio is renowned for.
Since its inception in 2017, Fyne Audio has been committed to producing speakers that provide a sublime listening experience appreciated by audiophiles and music lovers around the world. The expertise in speaker design, together with the brand's bespoke technologies such as the innovative point-source IsoFlare driver and the unique BassTrax bass porting system, have earned the brand many awards and made it a household name in the global hi-fi market.
The new facility underlines this commitment by bringing the UK's research, development, design and production process under one roof - from Dr Mills' initial design sketches through to final assembly, finishing and testing. The new facility will accelerate the implementation of the brand's latest technologies, patents and innovations, allowing exciting new loudspeaker models to be brought to market more quickly.
Having outgrown the previous headquarters and outsourced warehouse space, the new site spans almost 50,000 square metres with over 20,000 square metres of production and warehouse space. The site was purchased outright by Fyne Audio, allowing the brand to further expand the production and warehouse space at its Glasgow site in the future.
The new factory will house Fyne's design, development, manufacturing and engineering facilities, including a dedicated cryogenic treatment chamber. This will enable components such as high-end crossovers to be treated on site, allowing even greater control of temperature and freeze/thaw times to improve material properties and audio performance.
A key highlight of the new facility is the integration of Dr. Paul Mills and his expert engineering and design team into the same facility as the production operations. This synergy promotes a seamless workflow between concept and manufacturing, enabling rapid iteration and refinement of designs. The proximity of the teams ensures that technical innovations can be tested more quickly and move through the manufacturing process more quickly.
Anji Sosna, Managing Director of Fyne Audio, expressed the importance of the new facility: “We are incredibly proud of our new factory, which builds on the success of the brand over the last seven years. Establishing Fyne Audio and launching several award-winning speaker ranges around the world has been a significant achievement and our new facility will form the foundation for our future growth plans. The move will enable us to deliver even more products that sound exceptional, look great and are manufactured to the highest standards here in the UK.”
The new facility features a new listening room designed for fine-tuning and critical listening of new loudspeakers. These demo rooms provide an ideal environment for the team to perfect the sonic characteristics of each model, ensuring that each loudspeaker delivers the authentic, immersive listening experience that Fyne has become synonymous with. This meticulous process is testament to Fyne Audio's attention to detail and passion for creating products that resonate with music lovers.
With the enhanced capabilities of the new facility, audiophiles can expect even greater refinement in the acoustic performance of Fyne's bespoke technologies and unique aesthetic designs in the future. With on-site quality assurance for every speaker manufactured, this goes hand in hand with the impeccable build quality and luxurious finish that have become the hallmark of Fyne Audio speakers.
As part of its long-term vision, Fyne Audio is also committed to sustainability and plans to install around 400 solar panels on the factory roof. This initiative will generate more than enough electricity to run the entire facility and sell any excess energy to the grid, reflecting the brand's commitment to environmentally friendly production.
