FyneFlute™

With conventional speaker surrounds on the driver, the energy can be reflected back through the membrane at a certain frequency, which leads to coloration.

To create an inhomogeneous interface that seals off the membrane energy very effectively, FYNE uses FyneFlute™ technology. This variable geometry within the computer-designed fluting eliminates mismatch effects, reduces coloration and ensures greater musical accuracy.

FAQs about FYNE Audio's FyneFlute speaker technology

FyneFlute technology is a special development by FYNE Audio that aims to minimize the negative impact of conventional rubber surrounds on the performance of speaker drivers. Standard surrounds can cause energy to be reflected back onto the diaphragm at certain frequencies, causing sound coloration. FyneFlute technology is designed to address these issues.

FyneFlute technology uses variable geometry in the form of computer-designed grooves in the surround. This uneven structure at the interface between the surround and the membrane ensures effective termination of the membrane's energy. It prevents energy from being reflected back, resulting in a reduction in sound coloration and greater musical accuracy.

The irregular grooves of the FyneFlute surround create an inhomogeneous interface that dissipates the energy of the membrane very effectively. This avoids mistermination effects and significantly reduces sound coloration. The result is a more precise and musical reproduction.

The FyneFlute technology is now used in all FYNE loudspeaker series from the FE series to the F1 and vintage.
